Atop – photo challenge

The topic of this week’s photo challenge of the Daily Post is ‘atop’. There are many different ways of interpreting this topic. It could show something sitting, standing or laying on top of something else. It also could mean that the photograph was standing on top of something while taking the picture. Or something was positioned on something else.

However, this is how I interpreted the topic… I had a special time taking those pictures 😉

Insect sitting on top of a flower
Boat on the water surface of the Lake Constance in Germany
Butterfly resting on top of the flower
Raindrop on top of a leaf

  1. Beautifully done and love the array of photos here . Really like the sunset one. The boats are certainly afloat and atop that water, gliding along peacefully. That is one mighty sun and sky, done for the day and coming down for a bit of a rest 😀 Great landscape shots too. Very peaceful and hope you enjoyed the time out there in nature 🙂

    1. Thank you very much much for your lovely comment!🙂 The sunset was amazing! It was a great calm and peaceful atmosphere with loads of beautiful moments! Especially the colours of the falling sun were awesome, it kind of looked as if the horizon was on fire😄 And the boads were so peaceful atop the water smoothly moving along🙂 It definitely was a great time and I enjoyed taking all of the pictures 🙂
